Hi
Just been working on the clothing of my character and whilst experimenting with the simulation, this has started happening whenever I try and pull it around...
It just seems to pull out one point/vertex at a time. I'm not sure what I've done to cause this. Any ideas? I've checked that Freeze is disabled and that it's still active. I've also tried resetting the 2D/3D pattern, but it keeps doing it. It only seems to be doing it with the GPU simulation.
Thanks
GPU simulation is not as accurate is CPU simulation, it could be many things. GPU is for settling large ammounts of fabric into the space to then move into CPU for accurate simulation and work. At this point in your process you have very dense mesh buttons on a cloth, it is recommended that you stay working in CPU and do not go into GPU simulation anymore.
The issue seems to have gone. Not sure what had happened. Loaded the file on my PC and it was fine, and now likewise on my laptop again. :) I kinda prefer using the GPU when on my laptop as it manages that a lot better.
Whatever works for your workflow. At this time GPU is not meant to be worked in for much of the process; be prepared to encounter collission, simulation and other issues as you choose to work in GPU which is why we say this. This is just a heads up that any issues you encounter in GPU are likely not going to be bugs but the current nature of the mode that you're choosing to work in knowing its not meant for those purposes and extended use in a workflow.
