Hi.
I'm trying to make something like this at the back of some canvas pants...
I'm not sure what they're called. Some sort of back straps...?
I'm not sure how to go about making them bend around like in the first image. I've tried adding a couple of folds, but I can't seem to get it to stitch to the back of the pants and keep them folded like that. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Hi Tim,
To make a bend in Marvelous Designer, you can create an internal line on the spot you want to bend, then select the internal line and under the property editor - Fold, change the number for the Fold Strength and Fold Angle.
You can also use the Fold Arrangement tool in the 3D window to achieve it.
Please Check out this tutorial on Pleats, where we introduced folding in Marvelous Designer: Basic Garments - Pleats
And here's our user manual on the Fold Arrangement tool: Fold Arrangement

Hmm. I've been trying this in various ways over the past few days, and I'm just not getting it. :-\ I've even tried splitting things up into smaller parts, but it just isn't looking right. I think I might just have to make it in ZBrush and add it on.
Also, in my first screenshot example - how the heck would you get such a curved and round fold? I've never been able to get such a round fold before in MD.
